Realr ("we", "our", "us") operates the Realr mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Realr:

• Account information: A login username and password you create. No email or phone number is required to create an account.
• Location data: Your precise GPS location while the app is in use. This is required for the app's core functionality — showing and creating posts near you.
• User content: Posts you create, messages you send, and connection requests.
• Device information: Device identifiers for push notifications and account verification.
• Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid tier, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the core app experience — displaying nearby posts and enabling messaging
• Authenticate your account
• Send push notifications for connection requests, messages, and post activity
• Process subscription payments via Stripe
• Enforce community guidelines and respond to flagged content

3. Location Data

Realr requires access to your device's location to function. Your location is used to determine which posts are visible to you and to place your posts on the map. We do not track your location when the app is not in use. We do not sell your location data to third parties.

4. Data Retention

Posts are temporary and automatically expire based on your subscription tier (between 6 and 48 hours). Expired posts are permanently deleted from our servers. Direct messages are retained until either user deletes the conversation. Account data is retained until you delete your account.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:

• Stripe: For processing subscription payments
• Firebase (Google): For delivering push notifications
• Supabase: Our database and authentication provider

6. Anonymity

Realr allows you to post anonymously using a randomly generated username. You can toggle between your public username and an anonymous username at any time. When posting anonymously, other users cannot see your real username.

7. Children's Privacy

Realr is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and secure database hosting. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete your account and all associated data
• Toggle anonymity on or off at any time
• Delete your own posts at any time
• Cancel your subscription at any time

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
